Robert Corkren serves as a Research Specialist at the Center for Grazinglands and Ranch Management where he supports projects across the Center’s portfolio. He is currently pursuing his Master of Natural Resources Development (MNRD) in the Texas A&M Department of Rangeland, Wildlife, and Fisheries Management and Certificate of Non-Profit Management in the The Bush School of Government and Public Service. He serves as the Editor of The Wildlife Society’s southwest section newsletter and Guide for The Texas Youth Hunting Program.
With over 15 years of hands-on experience, Robert has worked with landowners across the Pineywoods, Post Oak, and Edwards Plateau ecoregions with a focus on prairie restoration and wildlife habitat improvement. His efforts have consistently aligned with promoting landowner goals through creative and sustainable land practices.
Prior to joining Texas A&M and the Center, Robert’s professional background included brand marketing, business operations, project management, and health & safety in the oil & gas and manufacturing sectors. His role at the Center allows him to support the Center’s many producer research initiatives while deepening his expertise in adaptive grazing and ranch management.
