A Tailored Focus

The Center for Grazinglands and Ranch Management is dedicated to addressing the evolving issues and concerns faced by producers. Through careful consideration and the insight of steering committee members, we identified three core areas of focus and a strategic approach for each that will result in the greatest impact for producers.

In the United States, there are 655 million acres of grazing lands and around 730,000 ranching operations. Texas is home to the largest amount of privately owned grazing land and is the number one beef producing state in the country.

The ranching industry faces increasingly complex ecologic, economic and social challenges impacting the ability to maintain or enhance the health and resiliency of grazing lands and ranching operations. The Center for Grazinglands and Ranch Management is dedicated to safeguarding the ecologic and economic resiliency of grazing land resources and ranching operations in Texas and beyond.
